Superb Community - Parks, Trails, Recreation, etc! - 12/19/2019
I've lived in this city for 8 years and it's awesome! The city is very well-maintained, highly-planned, and there's a close community throughout the city. The schools in the area are great. There's the Cascade View Elementary School (a newer school), Snoqualmie Elementary School (an older but very nice school), Snoqualmie Middle School (an older but large school), and Mount Si High School (a brand-new, modern campus). There are plenty of parks throughout the town, and there are hundreds of acres of woods with miles of trails (perfect for Geocaching!). The scenery is amazing, especially at the nearby Snoqualmie Falls. The Snoqualmie River is beautiful in the summertime! There's plenty of recreation (basketball courts, tennis courts, fields, a YMCA, parks, trails, etc) and you can find restaurants and shops on Center Street (on the Ridge) and Railroad Avenue (Downtown Snoqualmie). Downtown Snoqualmie has the historic railroad tracks and cars, a huge historical log, lots of art, and Read More

Dreary, Friendly, Wet - 9/23/2018
We have lived here one year and are moving out.

LOCATION, SIZE: The City of Snoqualmie about 30 minutes with traffic from Bellevue and an hour from Seattle during rush hour. It can take 15 minutes just to get on the freeway.
Although the Snoqualmie Valley has a population of 52,678 the city itself is only 13,650 and that is really two different communities - 80% of the population now lives in Snoqualmie Ridge, a master planned community that was started in 1998 and was just finished this year and the rest in the older part of the town.
As a result, the HOA as a result has more sway than the mayor or local city council, and they put on a few events every year but they are slow to respond (it takes a month to get "approval" for a standard fence) and their communication/web site is from the 90's.

DEMOGRAPHICS: (Data from entire Snoqualmie Valley School District) Slightly less than half of the households have kids and are highly educated 38% have Read More

Great Recreation Opportunities - 5/14/2010
If you can stand the 6 months of gray, the location is great. Recreation is readily available right outside your door and commute to decent paying jobs is 30 mins or so. Nov-Mar are miserable, though and the constant gray, drizzle can get to Read More
