Review of Cape Coral, Florida

Taxes
Star Rating - 3/28/2008
Three years ago we moved to Florida, specifically Cape Coral, looking for a warmer climate, wanted to be close to the water and thought that cost of living would be cheaper than Northern Virginia. We did accomplish our first two wishes, but how wrong were we regarding cost of living. While Florida does not have State taxes, the real estate taxes are extremely high and actually are more than what we were paying in Northern Virginia, including State tax.
