For a community of relatively small size, the Sheboygan area has an abundance of cultural and recreational facilities, from state parks and forests, to world-renowned golf courses, along with a first-class library and internationally known art center. It also has a relatively low cost of living, with reasonably priced housing. On the down side, taxes are somewhat higher than many areas and the weather can be trying at times (like winter!).
