I lived in Hampton in the 90's and now I live in Newark. I would not live in Hampton if you paid me. There is nothing to do there. the whole town consists of a general store and 2 service stations(no gas). Where do you come up with such an ignorant statement that you take your life in your hands going out at night? I've lived here for 5 years and no one has ever even talked to me impolitely. Unlike Hampton where a 10 year old kid came up to me on the street and called me a scumbucket.

lol.Newark is a city, it is diverse. Yes it has problems, I have lived in Seattle/Tacoma(which is worse for gangs/drugs),Las Vegas,Honolulu (also drugs/gangs).Newark is trying to rebuld itself in the shadow of New York. There are areas you want to avoid (common sense) but isn't that true of every major city?
