Wow!! 200,000 people? Sounds like u have been around the block and experienced the world.....Did u know that the population of memphis is 646,889 and that is considered to be a small city with a country/blues vibe? It is obvious why u think that jonesboro is such a great meca with so much to offer... I personally don't have anything against Jonesboro, there are nice people here, the weather is mild, and the crime seems to be pretty low... The downsides are that coming from LARGER cities, this place lacks culture, the people though friendly are very narrow minded and very cautious about anything out of the "norm", there are absolutley no good places to eat unless u like chinese food (there is a buffet on about every corner)-yet no "authentic" culturistic resturants/diners.... If u are from any major city in america u know what I'm talking about. Oh and is u are into the outdoors and like to swim u will have to drive at least 40-45 min to get to spring river ir almost 2 hours to the lake... Who wants to do that when there are plenty of other places to life where all this is right in your back yard? Example- Austin... Babtist churched on almost every corner yet very few if any catholic/lutheran ones.... um.... bigass mosquitoes that will pin u in the house at night in the summer time so don't bother to buy any lawn furnature unless u have a screened in patio.... I could go on and on...If you are going to move to AR. and are into outdoors like me then move to fayettville or if u like the city life then try out LR cuz memphis is a dump. Me personally,I will soon complete my degree as will my wife and we are packing up and moving back to a place with culture and life.
