Evansville is a good place to raise children. Low crime and good schools. And, that's where it ends. The only saving graces about this town, is that it's close to some really neat cities. St. Louis, Nashville and Louisville. The humiidty will kill you and the dreary winters(no sun) will depress you. Think twice about moving here is you like outdoor activites.
I moved here from Denver in 1999 for family reasons. And, can't wait till I retire again, and can get back to the land of sun and healthy lifestyles.
