Review of Flagstaff, Arizona

Mostly a nice community

After living here the past 8 years I have to give Flagstaff mostly high marks as a good place to live. It offers more in the way of culture and diversity than most towns of 60000 residents and there are plenty of outdoor activities to choose from within a short radius. Climate is great except for the winds in the spring. The only negative is the town has a serious litter problem which no one seems to address and transients are EVERYWHERE in the summer begging for whatever.

I've only lived in Flag for 2 months, but I really don't see a transient problem, especially compared to the Denver area. I haven't had anyone approach me begging. In a windy area, litter can be a concern, but the downtown is clean and east of town where I live (rural area) has no litter problem. Maybe things have improved considerably in 2 years!
