I’m originally from Sparta (just up the road from Crossville). Crime has always been a problem in White and Cumberland counties). I live in Fairfield, CA (halfway between San Francisco and Sacramento). The root causes of high crime rates in both areas can be attributed to substance abuse, low levels of education, low income levels, gang activity — a California problem. Our local paper averages about three column inches of arrests for property crime, crimes of violence, drugs etc. Our current governor and the previous governor exacerbated the problem with the early release of felons from California State Prisons.

It could be that the police actually arrest criminals in Crossville. Most of us see daily of the rapes, murder and mayhem committed by criminals released by liberal jurisdictions in California.
