Should be more.....

With Dayton once the center of American ingenuity you would things things here would be better here....great Universities and local community colleges, yet the downtown is dead.....sure there's a lot of entertainment....but no place to eat, and yes there is Riverscape.....but once you've seen it...the Metro Parks are super.....but there is something missing....after events everybody goes home to the suburbs and closes the window shades. In my opinon if Wright Patterson wasn't here this town would sink back into the riverbank...I moved into an older neighborhood with the idea I could "rescue" it and was rewarded with break-ins and thefts...cops are under staffed looking drive-by shooting suspects and talking to 20 "witnesses" that didn't see a thing...sad....I don't care what the officals say, there is a definite difference between the West side and East side, with poor white trash in the middle....It's not "Greatin Dayton" (a slogan they once used) People with money just move further out....big difference since I landed here in '76 ............manufacturing used to be the backbone here for the blue collar crowd, now the white collar people just turn there nose up at the idea that we need manufacturing jobs here, and the rest of the lower class just sits on the porch drinking a beer that was paid for after stealing and selling my car stereo..........if you need to move here, go to the local small towns outside of Dayton, Tipp City, Troy, Springboro, Beavercreek, Brookville........Stay out of Springfield, I worked there several years......crime worse than Dayton and none of the benifits.......
