Review of Tulsa, Oklahoma

Great little city to raise a family
Star Rating - 7/27/2020
I have lived in Tulsa since 1998. It isn't the best place in the world, but it is affordable, the people are friendly, overall, it's easy to get around. The suburbs have nationally ranked schools in education and sports. I've also lived in St Louis, Chicago, Raleigh, and Tampa, and this is definitely the safest place I've lived (and my career takes me into the worst areas of a city). I did a cost of living comparison of over 30 cities, compared to Tulsa, and was hard pressed to find anywhere as affordable. Check the unemployment rate compared to the rest of the U.S. The last time I checked, we were well under the national average. My step-daughter and her friends drive about 7 hours, 3 or 4 times a year, to experience the Tulsa night life. We also have one of the biggest Oktoberfest celebrations in the United States.
