Does anyone have a handle on the true number of sunny days
for Hamilton Mt?
This site shows 159 but the COC shows 270.

I've lived in Montana a long time and Hamilton definitely does not have anywhere near 270 days that anyone would call "sunny". Sperling's estimate is definitely better, especially if you're comparing sunny days among different towns.

Giles, I believe that has to do with the methodology of climate reporting. This site calls a sunny day one that is more sunny than not. The COC calls a sunny day any day in which the sun shines enough to cast a shadow at any time during the day. I think this site is the more accurate representation.
