Review of Austin, Texas

EXTREME Urban Sprawl
Star Rating - 2/25/2018
Recently moved here from CA but originally from NJ. I gave myself 1 year to see if I like it here. So far the answer is NO. I am out in burbs and it is still congested. No matter what time of day there is traffic. I gave it 2 stars because it is way less expensive than CA. I miss that small town feel. I am now looking for someplace on the East coast -- must have mild winters. Any suggestions? Anyone else move to Austin and realize it wasn't for them?

Yes Austin is an overgrown trailer park complete with sandal wearing trailer trash and the women are tatted up and have piercings everywhere. I have lived in many cities and been to many more all over the world and I am not kidding when I tell you that austin is by far the most boring , backwards, lowlife filled town I have ever been to or even driven through. All everyone there does is drink, do drugs, worship bums and are basically lifelong failures who have to form cliques of fellow "Austinites" in order to survive the encroaching world (or as they put it "Them out of towners who ruin their trailer park")

Look pass Georgetown, TX. I recently left Austin after more than 25 years. Not the town I moved to long ago. To much traffic, terrible city transportation system. No express buses on weekends. Always some bond issue so property taxes never are lower. I landed in Temple, Tx-cost of living less, traffic is low, close to Austin to visit friends-easy commute. Close to Lake Belton.

No one likes Austin except the losers who went to high school there and grew up there knowing each other. Hot, nothing to do, no REAL music, just spoiled people who never grow up that mommy bought a guitar for them and now all of a sudden they are "musicians". Bums EVERYWHERE, traffic, hot, passive aggressive people who will never say anything directly. Generally miserable and angry people. (likely due to the heavy drug use they engage in) just an outright sewer.

Tampa? I'm from NJ and finally back in CA after two weird years in Denver. If you didn't like Austin I would sure as hell not move there. I know I'm better off in Los Angeles.
