Review of Bradenton, Florida

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!
Star Rating - 10/19/2006
This crummy little town is ugly, but still the prices of these "shacks"(and I am been generous calling them that)made of bad mediocre and construction(intentionally) that fall down incredibly with a 60MPH wind is increasing ridiculously!!! Why is that??

There are no sidewalks, Children don't have many parks close by to where to play, only this dying all falks have all the land for their precious golf. The dirty olf men in this town should be at home playing with their grandchildren not taking spaces in the land that should be use by our children.

Eventually only the rich are going to be able to live in these little and ugly huts since they can afford to built every year if anything happens. And forget about insurance. The prices are going up to the point that most home owners can afford it.

Florida will eventually will have a tsunami that will sink this crummy little town and the hold state from coast to coast and will clean the garbage out to the sea.
For now I am stuck, but there are other 49 states with better paying jobs and homes that are far less expensive than this state and I can't wait to get out of this oven. Yeah! 90o in october!!! Shiiiiiiiiiiish!!!

If you move here you will regret it. Most streets are broken, and when it rains certain areas got flooded. The freaking mayor of this town doesn't do anything for this crummy little town. Actually, none does. It is a shame that a place with such a high cost of living looks worst than most gettos in NYC, California or Illinois.
Do not... I beg you, DO NOT MOVE HERE! THERE ARE ALSO GANGS.

I love 90 degrees in October and hate temperatures in the 50s so soon in September like we have here. Funny that you think Manatee has a high cost of living compared to NYC etc; it's simply not factual.

Oh My Word!! You definately are miserable. Bradenton isn't the CLEANEST, but then not many areas are. If you think the grass is greener someplace else, then please do leave. I left in 06 and was back within a year because I found that the grasses are NOT always greener. Maybe you don't drive? It sounds like you got yourself stuck in the "bad" area of the city and didn't check the entire city out? Because I raised two sons that are now grown and the "Children's (family) parks" were here back then, and are still here. Many of them in fact. The only thing I have to agree with is the insurance prices of homes. But then you know, if it's not insurance it'll be something else somewhere else that will make up the difference. You might want to do some research the next time you move. Obviously you didn't do much research before coming to Bradenton. I've been here 28 yrs and the parks haven't changed, if anything they've been improved. And the weather hasn't changed much either. Sure beats shovling the snow piles out from the end of your driveways after snowplows pushed mounds of snow for you not to get out to go to work in the mornings. Yes, I grew up in Upstate NY, and believe me it's a hellhole there now, no jobs and crime rates skyrocheted... not much different than any other place in this good ole USofA. And gangs, they are in every city, every town in the USA. Don't think that they are Just here, missy. If you find a place that has no slum areas within, no gangs at all, 0% crime rate, 0% unemployment rate, no economy issues, Mother Nature is at peace without any hurricanes/blizzards/storms/tornatos/winds/black ice/flooding, and has overall perfect weather, is financially well off to repair all the roads to be as smooth as a baby's hiney...then please let us all know so we can follow you. The only place I see as being Perfect is the Heavens. Lady, You should count your many blessings. You obviously live in one of them huts with a roof over your head, power to be able to run your computer to post in here, food on your table to survive. Start counting your many blessings and maybe life would be better for you no matter where you live, Bradenton or the ghettos of NYC. Life is what you make of it, and it's obvious that no matter where you go there will be faults. I am curious though...why did you come here anyways? And where did you come from that made you think that Bradenton would be any better?
