I went to Haskell, then Summit, then Santa Fe. While there, we were taught grammar (including punctuation etc.), played sports in a competitive environment (several classmates now professional athletes) and I always felt safe. I spent some of my favorite years at your alleged "ghetto" Summit. If by ghetto you mean a higher population of black students and other minorities, that may be true. Some of the brightest students I remember from those schools were from minorities.
My early education and childhood in Edmond provided me with the skills to get my biochemistry and molecular biology degrees from OSU, then my M.D. from OU.
As you can see by Brittany's post, as with most suburbs, there is a high population of brats!!
