Nice to the extreme. clean, safe, family oriented with fairly progressive local mucipal gov't. quite a bedroom community to University of Iowa and much of the renting is due to med students, and visiting facultiy/researchers. suprisingly diverse, its not what you'd expect from Iowa, at leaast not what I was expecting. As a whole it keeps the smallish town feel without rampent narrowmindedness (though it does exist), thanks mostly to proximity to the college. they sure love the hawkeyes here.
