I have lived here a year and it has been a very intersting event. So far most of what we were told about Bakersfield hasn't been true, and there is not much to do here either. And i have to agree about what I have been told and seen with the people here, they have their guard up and are just not willing to let anyone in.

dude I have lived in this god for saken town for over 7 years and it is a true hell hole bad air, nothing to do, and the people are assholes and are way to conservative and I'm not talking about moderatly. This is the worst city in the united states to live in; well perhaps there are worst palces but this damn city tops the crap list of places to live in if you like people who are still supporting bush and cheney and are still in support of endless wars and are always in church then this is a town for you.
