Review of Show Low, Arizona

Type of crime in Show Low?

We are considering semi-retiring in Show Low, mainly due to he climate and smaller town living. However, the crime rate on a scale of 1(low) to 10 (high)is nine. This concerns us greatly. Can anyone provide me with a comment on why it may be so high and what types of crimes generally occur in this community?

Its definitely an inaccurate rating and probably based on the averages in other nearby towns. Arizona has a serious drug problem and with that comes theft. One of the most common 911 calls is for domestic. My experience with Show Low / Pinetop-Lakeside is that its a nice area to live and when considering the cost of living and climate is probably better than average for a rural community.
