Montgomery County is located in Eastern Central Mississippi along the Alabama border. It is known for its strong agricultural tradition, producing crops like cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans as well as raising livestock including cows, chickens and turkeys. Other economy activities include manufacturing and tourism thanks to its proximity to rivers and lakes offering plenty of recreational opportunities. The county also has several historical landmarks such as Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church which was established in 1836.
