Transients, bad air quality, rising taxes/costs The transient problem and panhandling here is out of control. The traffic is getting bad, especially for Montana. There exists a prevailing attitude of entitlement seen like nowhere else. Wages are lowball. Locals run this place; good luck if you weren't born in Montana. The air quality gets very bad during fire season (July - Sept) and again with the winter inversion (Nov - Feb). All the smog from 5 valleys lands here. Big jumps in property taxes and cost of water service.
