Poor Schools
Waterbury, Ct. has a terrible school system that has been on a downward slide since the 1980's. Some of the high schools have come close to loosing their accredidation a couple of times. The middle schools are known as "the jungles", and a complete waste of 3 years. The grammer schools are trying hard but are overwhelmed with kids that are abused, neglected, living in poverty and have illiterate parents. 80% of adults living in Waterbury are illiterate, which helps explain the huge drug and crime problems.
