Lackluster
I would agree with many of the comments made about Prescott Valley. It is a small town with minimal shopping, family entertainment, and social life. My husband and I moved here from Phoenix 2 years ago hoping to get out of the "rat race." Unfortunately, we are now in place that seems to be moving at a "snail's pace." The people here are nice enough but pretty much keep to themselves. I hardly ever see any young people...most of the peeps around here are older. There isn't much to do in the summer until it gets cooler in the evening...but then the mosquitoes and other bugs come out. The public pools are soooo busy, it's a joke trying to "swim" there. It's more like squeeze into a small corner so you won't get jostled. There are couple of parks. One of them is fun for kids. Bust most of them seem to cater to fishermen or walkers. We go into Prescott quite a bit, but the Courthouse Square has lost its mystique and we've visited just about every venue. All in all, I think PV, P, and CV are fun places to visit, but I wish we hadn't moved here!
