Climate isn't just weather
Keep in mind that New Orleans' subtropical climate doesn't just mean it's ridiculously hot (which it is), but also that bugs, especially mosquitos and roaches, love it here. It also means that plants tend to be green for a much larger part of the year, so there's a plus side too.
