Living Downtown We recently moved here and chose to live downtown. It's a recovering downtown. We're enjoying access to many theaters, museums, parks, great restaurants and other resources. Hartford downtown has the chicken-n-egg problem of needing more residents to support downtown businesses and more downtown businesses that would attract more residents. We lack grocery stores and affordable retail stores. Hartford is trying and people seem to be responding.
