Beautiful summers, dreadful winters
Pros: beautiful summers with cool nights, clean air and water, good schools, friendly people, wildlife, recreation (hiking, fishing, skiing), potential for solar and wind energy. Cons: short growing season, difficult to raise domestic animals, wind wind and more wind!, few transportation alternatives, little rain and stressful fire season, high real estate prices and cost of living, limited employment opportunities unless you want to commute or telecommute, little cultural diversity.
