Kelso, WA is located in the southwest corner of Washington with a population of 12,566 according to the most recent census and a population density of 1,543 people per square mile. Due to its location near the Columbia River and Mt. St Helens, Kelso is well known for its outdoor activities such as fishing on the Columbia River, hiking at nearby Mt St Helens and camping in nearby Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
The city also boasts popular local businesses such as Fishawk Brewing Company and Bob’s Place Bar & Grill. There are also several events throughout the year including concerts held by local bands at Three Rivers Mall as well as annual festivals like K-Town Days which are celebrated every summer with rides, games and live music along with Fourth of July celebrations featuring fireworks over the Cowlitz river. Additionally, Kelso is home to several sports organizations such as Kelso High School Athletics which features baseball, football soccer and wrestling teams or local sports clubs like Kelso Soccer Club which offers youth soccer leagues throughout the year.
