Mukilteo, Washington is a small city located on the Puget Sound just 25 miles north of Seattle. The city’s population is just under 21,000 people and it is known for its picturesque views of the Olympic Mountains and ferry rides across the sound to Whidbey Island. Mukilteo offers several transportation options that make exploring the city and its surroundings easy and convenient.
Public buses provided by Community Transit are available throughout Mukilteo. These buses offer routes within the city as well as connections to other cities in Snohomish County like Everett, Lynnwood, and Woodinville. The Sounder Commuter Train also allows residents to travel from Mukilteo to Seattle in under an hour. For those traveling farther distances, SeaTac Airport is only 29 miles away from Mukilteo and provides domestic and international flights. Additionally, Mukilteo has ferry service right in town that runs between Clinton (on Whidbey Island) seven days a week with limited service on Saturdays and Sundays. Taxis, ride shares, rental cars, bicycles, pedicabs, or skateboards are also available for getting around the city.
