Guadalupe County, Texas is located in South Central Texas, just northeast of San Antonio. It is served by a number of transportation options, including public buses and trains. The county is served by both the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) bus service and San Marcos Transit System (SMTS). Both offer regular bus routes throughout the county to major cities such as Gonzales, Seguin, New Braunfels, Luling, Lockhart and more. Additionally, there are numerous taxi services available to transport people within the county.
The GBRA also provides a commuter train service which runs between San Marcos and Austin on weekdays with stops in major towns along the route such as Seguin, Luling and Gonzales. Additionally, Amtrak offers two daily routes which run between San Antonio and Houston; one is an express trip while the other stops at various cities along the way including Seguin. Finally, I-10 runs through Guadalupe County providing easy access to nearby cities for those who prefer to drive themselves. All together these transportation options make it extremely convenient for those living in or visiting Guadalupe County to travel around the area with ease.
