Dobbs Ferry, NY is a small village located in Westchester County. The area has a rich political history, with an active voting population and diverse representation in local government. The village currently has a mayor-council form of government, whereby citizens elect the mayor as well as a village board of trustees. This board is composed of six elected members who serve two-year terms and work together to form policy and respond to constituent issues. The current mayor is Peter Piltzecker, who was elected in 2018 and has been working to improve the quality of life for Dobbs Ferry's residents ever since. Other locally elected officials include the county executive and representatives from each of Dobbs Ferry's three Assembly Districts. All these individuals are committed to representing their constituents' interests in state legislature as well as working at the local level to address community needs.
