Greene County is located in southwestern Indiana and has a population of approximately 32,000 people. Bloomington is the county seat while Linton is the largest city. The county was formed in 1821 from portions of Sullivan and Knox counties and it borders Martin, Daviess, Sullivan, Owen and Monroe counties. Greene County has a rich history that can be seen in its historic homes and churches scattered throughout the area.
