Okfuskee County is situated in east-central Oklahoma and was created as part of its statehood - 17th May 1907 - when Okemah became established as its county seat although larger cities like Paden also exist within its 1400 km² (539 sq mi) expanse. According to data from the United States Census Bureau estimates; 7 984 inhabitants called Okfuskee home in 2019 which rank it amongst some of least densely populated counties functioning within Oklahoma's limits.
