About Ochiltree County, TX
Ochiltree County, TX is located in the Texas Panhandle near the Oklahoma border. It has a population of 10,499 as of 2019 and its county seat is Perryton. Other cities include Booker, Burlington and Waka. The county was organized from parts of Gray and Roberts counties in 1889 and named after William Beck Ochiltree who served as a state representative during the Reconstruction era.
