| Too Hot! - 6/29/2008
Unless one is fortunate enough to live near the beach in Southern California, it's just too hot! The farther Inland you go...the hotter it gets...summer is a scorcher...especially when the humidity kicks in later in the summer...then it's HOT & HUMID...more like the south.

| Life styles - 5/8/2008
California is a nice place to live when it comes to weather, the weather cant be beat. The life style now is something else. For me its way to busy, to many people. The cost of living, I believe, is much more expensive as well. The more people you have, the more crime. People tend to be more untrustworthy also.

| Why I Love California - 4/9/2008
Why Do I Love California? What comes to mind first is the diversity of people, cultures, languages, weather, food and beauty. California is beautiful, the hills, valleys, oceans, amusement parks, and the shopping. What comes to most peoples mind when they think of California is Rodeo Drive, limo’s, traffic jams, Hollywood, San Francisco etc but there is so much more to California. Small seaside towns, deserts, forests, out of the way artist communities; you name it California has it.
There is this tempo to California with its laid back people, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. People seem more relaxed…cooler, hipper; there is this chill man, life happens mentality to being a Californian. There is so much to do! All you have to do is pick up a local paper there are tons of things to do from psychic fairs, scientific fairs, out door camping, hiking, fishing, surfing, day trips, you name it they have it going on somewhere in California.
Entertainment and the arts surround you everywhere you go. I love the people of California from the Great Terminator…"The Arnold", to the immigrant worker working the fields. Okay I must applaud the entertainment industry it just wouldn’t be California without them.
Great schools, colleges, universities and hospitals are in California not to forget the great doctors and surgeons that live and work in California. There is something for everyone. This truly is a great state, no matter what income bracket you fall into or what you do for a living, religious belief or life style, California has and will always have a place for evryone. Including all the dreamers of the world who come here with a dream.

| If you choose to live in California...... - 4/8/2008
...this might just be the best place left. Just think what LA, SF, San Jose, Sacramento and San Diego are going to be like in 5, 10, 15, 20 years!
How many more lanes of freeway can they actually add to the 101, Hwy 5, Hwy 80, Hwy 680, Hwy 580, the I10, the 405 in the future? I think it's pretty esay to say the the Golden State's best days are behind it.
San Luis Obispo stands apart from so many places in California and they're not going to be embracing growth any time soon. It's expensive - wow it's expensive.

| Living in the County of Los Angeles - 4/8/2008
Very exciting place to visit!!! Don't think aobut moving here unless you have good money. I was born and raised here and I am looking to leave. Don't get me wrong I am not a hater but VERY expensive and education and health is going down the tubes. Anyone of any culture will find comfort zone since we have people of all kinds here and that's what makes it interesting.

| I can't breath - 3/30/2008
I have lived in southern California (Burbank area) all my life (38 years). I am so tired of the smog and bad air. I really want to move out BAD, but I am not sure where. I am thinking of Portland, OR or Raleigh, NC. If anyone has any experience with either of the two places above, please feel free to give me advice.

| Relocating out of CA - 2/21/2008
We reside in the Central Valley (modesto region) and would like to relocate out of CA where the cost of living would allow us to live, not 400,000 + for a regular house and not have to commute 200+ miles a day to job in order to have affordable/livable communities to raise our children, where housing is

| Not what it used to be. - 1/21/2008
My husband and I were both born in California. We were excited to move back when we were given the opportunity. However, we have been very dissapointed. The population has increased so dramatically, and what we both remember as the "friendly" californians have largely moved out of state. The air is horribly dirty, and all of the attractions are now so full of people, we end up opting to stay home. We are currently renting a home for $2300 a month... it's not a large home, about 1700 sq ft in Orange County. When we think of what we could afford in other states, we get really ready to move. The middle-class doesn't do so well out here. We will move, but will most likely continue to visit.

| Weather is great - 1/19/2008
Weather is great. In my area, the bay area, the rainy season lasts only about 3 months as opposed to the 5 months back east. The fog keeps June and July cool if you are near the bay and the coast, but it can get hot inland. The warmest6 time of year by the bay is in August and September when it gets from 75 in the city to 110 in the outer areas the of Bay Area.

| Southern California - 1/16/2008
I currently live in BEAUTIFUL Southern California (Santa Monica). I absolutely LOVE the climate and the beauty of the mountains and the ocean. However, I can't afford to buy a home to live in and rents are increasing as the housing market tanks.

| California makes me feel poor - 1/3/2008
It seems my husband and I make decent money. However, we are constantly struggling financially and feel like we would never be able to afford to buy a home here. We consider ourselves somewhat "low income", yet we don't qualify for any low-income benefits offered in our state because we make too much money. It is very frustrating. We would love to move someplace else where we can grow and thrive and make a comfortable home for our family.

| Cali has bomb weather, but high priced to live. - 1/1/2008
Hi! I am a california native for all my life. I was born in Berkeley close to Oakland. The bay area weather would very from hella cold to some times hot, but mostly cold. Now that I am an adult and a single african american mother living in southern california, I see what my mother saw raising me and my two sisters, california is very exspensive to live! Los Angeles has the best weather in cali year round(hot). But! I promise you if your not wealthy,middle-classed, but struggling it's not for you. California does have good schools, higher salaries, but the gang-bang rate is brutal. As an african american if you don't speak spanish in cali you don't get the minimal jobs. I want to live around succesful african americans and good schools, decent pay and cheaper housing, safe neighborhood and a strong black culture for my 12 and 2 year old son. I was looking into atl,dallas/houston/oklaholma. If any sista or brotha in america can tell me the "real 411" on these places please do so. God Bless.

| Fontana, CA - 12/18/2007
My parents moved to Fontana when I was in 3rd grade. My entire education was in fontana up through high school. A.B. Miller has a good computer program and is good for students who want to get into business and computers. I graduated with some honors in computers. I can say that the city is an ok city to move to though just be aware when traveling near downtown fontana and the surrounding areas near it. Everyhting near the 210 north side of the city is very nice. Sierra Lakes is the premier place to live in this city. The parks are ok, again I emphasize stay near the northern end of the city. Fontana is about 90% Hispanic and growing. There are major car lot businesess and various wherehouse type buildings from big name companies such as Target. Fontana is 50 Miles from Los Angeles, meaning you can live here and work in Los Angeles, which many residents do. Local jobs in Fontana is good for younger crowd for summer jobs or a job to get through college. Riverside is the second major city closest to Fontana in addition to San Bernardino. In a nutshell, Fontana is a good place to live depending on location whithin the city.

| Weather isn't Everything - 12/16/2007
California has beautiful weather and incredible natural beauty. However, before packing up and heading West also consider the following:
1. air quality: probably not as good as where you live now; especially LA and Orange Counties
2. population: density per mile is very high and traffic can be brutal
3. cost of living: except for Hawaii, probably the highest in the country. Many Californians cannot afford the house they live in.
