Surf City, USA - 5/9/2008

I've lived in Huntington Beach for 4 yrs and LOVE IT!!! The fire & police depts are first rate. The beach area is beautiful and the activities are available to every age range. The city strives to maintain communitity activities that are free or low cost and always fun.

Fantastic! - 12/2/2007

While it gets cool in the summer and hot in the spring when Santa Ana winds blow for the most part it is virtually year round blue skies, sunshine and comfortable temperature. I've traveled to 48 states and 13 countries and haven't found a place with better weather. The greatest thing is here you do not have to plan your life around the weather.

It doesn't get much better than this - 6/29/2007

I live here in HB and it is pretty nice. We are kind of embarassed at just how beautiful it is all the time! Go 30 minutes inland and your are choking from the smog and heat...

Great year round weather - 10/2/2006

Spring and fall is the nicest. There is enough of a difference in the seasons to notice. Without the falling leaves, snow, etc.

Downtown Huntington Beach - 9/26/2006

We moved here two years ago and couldn't be happier. As far as crime is concerened... I havent heard of any. I take that as a good sign. :)

Beautiful City by the Pacific Ocean. Perfect climate. Too crowded and very, very expensive.

I live here primarily because of the climate and easy access to outdoor activities.

Tube City - 7/30/2006

Quite the place. Ideal place to raise children. Great climate. Clean air due to the breeze blowing in from the ocean.

I've been here since the mid 70's and over the last 6+ years, I've seen more and more graffitti.

Things have changed - 6/29/2006

I am now living in the house that my father purchased in the mid 70's. The deed states the price of $49,990.00. It's a three bedroom 1 1/2 bath. The homes in the same housing track are selling for no less than $600,000.00. To me it is amazing. I often wonder how new families can afford to live there and still have time to be a family.

The original Surf-City - 5/2/2006

I'm a native Californian, born in Long Beach and truly love that city for all it's diversity, but now I live in Surf-City, Huntington Beach CA and it's about as good as it gets. Great folks in and around the city with many fabulous sites, restaurants and natural beauty.

Air Quality - 1/9/2006

I suspect an error in the air quality of Huntington Beach, CA, which gets the prevailing westerlies right off the Pacific Ocean. As a comparison, you have Riverside/Ontario, CA at 13, compared to Huntington Beach at 2! Riverside has a severe smog problem.

HUNTINGTON BEACH CA. - 6/8/2005

THE AREA IT SELF IS VERY NICE, THE WEATHER IS USUALLY MILD, SOME BREEZE, USUALLY WARM AND SUNNY, BUT COMFORTABLE. IT IS A VERY CASUAL AREA, MOST PEOPLE DO NOT WEAR SUITS AND TIES, EVEN THE OWNER'S OF BUSINESS'S. YOU CAN GO INTO MOST RESTAURANTS IN SHORTS AND SHIRT'S, SHOES NOT REQUIRED IF YOUR DOWN BY THE OCEAN. NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE IN HUNTINGTON BEACH, YOU CAN GET TO THE ACTUAL BEACH WITHIN 10 MINUTES OR SO. THERE ARE AREA'S THAT ARE MORE DESIRABLE THAN OTHER'S, HOWEVER YOU DO PAY FOR THEM, AND THE COST OF LIVING HERE IS REALLY NO MORE OR LESS THAN ANYWHERE ELSE IN CALIFORNIA. IT IS ALL EXPENSIVE AND WILL PROBABLY JUST KEEP GOING UP, THAT IS WHY NATIVE CALIFORNIA'S LIKE MYSELF ARE LOOKING TO OTHER STATES, LIKE YOURS.
