I have lived here my whole live and now am considering moving due to how expensive it is to live here. I will miss it's charm and beauty but I feel it is time to move on.

Expensive to live here - 8/6/2006

I am a born and raised New englander. I have found myself looking ( and researching other states) to live because im a single mother with a 18 yr old, and finding it extremly difficult to buy my first home here. I love Mass as a state, economy wise it its not very good.

biggest mistake don't move here - 7/30/2006

i'm from miami, but my husband is from here so a year and i half ago we married and we moved back here. it has been the worst mistake. the cost of living is very high, we have to work a lot to keep up with living expenses. people are rude no matter what part of the state you go, they are racist and very hypocritical. jobs are hard to find, there is also no public transportation outside of the city, you have to pay a tax to keep your car on the road and the big dig doesn't help, also a lot of bad drivers and roads are like horse trails. summers are humid and you have to drive for hours to get to the beach, once get there you can't go in the water because is extremely cold. the winters are harsh and dangerous because of all the downhills. restaurants close at 9pm outside of the city and there are no dance clubs. the worst place to live in. can't wait to move

I live in a small town in southeastern MA, approx 1 mile from the ocean. There are about 10,000 residents here. We are very education oriented, and approx. 96% of our high school graduates go onto college. We boast top scores every year in the MCAS statewide education testing at all grade levels.
