Looking for relocation advice - 2/5/2010

We are looking to relocate South and have narrowed the search down to Tennesee. Here's what we are looking for: 1)a place where we can have 10+ acres,2) be in driving distance to work, I currently sell real estate and would like the opportunity to stay in my profession and he is a site construction manager with 30+ years experience. 3)We'd prefer a location where people are friendly and laidback 4)school system is not a top priority 5)availability to a top notch health facility. Please contact me with your insight at sweettexas14043@yahoo.com. Thanks

Friendly - 1/2/2010

This is specifically for the Chattanooga, TN & surrounding area...selected state, but no cities showed up as options. I've traveled extensively in the US...and lived in cities from east to west coast & in between and, hands down, this has to be one of the friendliest places I've ever been. Lots of smiles, lots of common courtesy - retail clerks actually act like they're glad you're in their establishment!

Racial Tension - 5/13/2007

There is to much racial tension here in Chattanooga, Tennesse. Most people deny that it's here but it's easy to see once you've lived here a year or so.

I am looking for a wonderful friendly place to rai - 3/16/2007

We live in an area now where you seem to only be accepted if you were born and raised here, which we are not. When it comes to sports or other activities sometimes you are picked if only your last name is recognized. It seems everyone keeps us and our children at an arm's length and we would like to be involved and would like to make friend's. We would like to live within 30-60 miles form Nashville. Thank you so much.

Beautiful but boring - 3/13/2007

If you like quiet southern living, then Franklin is for you. The downtown is so small and so boring, you can't even call it a downtown. There's nothing to do in Franklin but have backyard barbecues and shop at the strip malls.

Weather - 3/7/2007

Does anyone know how brutal the weather is in Cedar City, Utah during the winter months? How cold does it really get, and for what length of time? Are there adequate medical facilities in Cedar City? Are there movie theatres and adequate shopping? Thank You, Don

It's Beautiful - 6/22/2006

I think TN is a great place in general, but I was raised in small towns there. So I am biased. I moved away for a little over a year and all I could think about was getting back to the country. And by that I mean the small towns that I love in TN.
