| Its like Riverside from Wish - 6/10/2021
I am a Blasian female and I have lived here my whole life. Here is an honest review on the city.
Firstly, if you're expecting this city to be like LA or whatever it's not, its pretty boring unless you like hiking or seeing mountains because there's a **** ton of them here. Other than that its just eating out or going shopping.
Economy wise there's not that many good jobs here, the only basic jobs here are working at a fast food place/store, being a Nurse/Doctor/CNA/wipe old people ****. Or working in construction but not many people get those jobs. But don't worry based on my experience its cheap enough to live here i guess.
Now onto the schools, the elementary schools here are ehh great i guess. It's like any other elementary school. But middle school and up girl, better teach them kids how to fight because oml these kids are ghetto as hell. They're trashy and start beef and drama over some stupid gossip or love triangle scandals. And a lot of kids get murdered in fights here and unfortunately we live in a society where schools dont give a damn if your kid is being bullied but how dare they stand up for themselves! But besides that the curriculum is good and the teachers are passionate about their students but be careful some of them are borderline verbally abusive
Race, it's not that diverse here at all. No its not a PWT (predominantly white town) and there's barely any racists here at all so this is a POC friendly town but there are so many Mexicans here and barely any Asian, White, or Black people.
Religion, mostly everyone here is in the Catholic sect. of Christianity or another form of Christian. I dont think there are any mosques or temples here (correct me if i'm wrong.) But do not worry if you're LGBTQ because California in general is a Liberal state and most people in Moreno Valley don't let religion or sexuality divide them and are very accepting of everyone.

| Not a good place to live. - 10/18/2020
I have lived her for over 25 years and have seen a major shift in crime, population, and traffic (not in this particular order). It started when March Air force Base was closed and reassigned as a Reserve base. Many left here and abandoned their homes as the city stepped in and started offering them very cheap. Those in Los Angeles came and purchase at great deals, but had to commute very far leaving their teens home alone. Once here, they brought their politics and thus, started a liberal trend that has continued to grow. Politicians have become more corrupt, not thinking about their constituents, but rather, their pocketbooks. I don't see a way that will trend back, only through prayer and a miracle. I see myself moving out of this state to retire.

| Racist city with no jobs - 7/13/2019
Ok so I grew up in Moreno Valley since I was 8 years old now I'm a grown adult and from my experience Moreno Valley isn't a good place to support yourself or if you have a family, especially if your a black or biracial male , as of 2019 and beyond, idk how it will be years from now but let me tell you that this city has literally no jobs!!!! And if you happen to find a job, good luck tryin to get a job if your a black male!! Or even mix with black, they only hire Mexicans out here!! Now I have no problem with Mexicans cause the woman are beautiful and I've dated plenty of them in high school but damn, once you get older these people hate hiring you if your black geez man, I have never seen a jobs shortage in a city this bad in my life, nobody ever hires, all the warehouses they built all around the city including Perris none of them ever hire!!, there probably all staffed by robots, oh and the only time places are ever hiring is during Christmas time witch are only temporary jobs, the rest of the jobs are staffed by temp agencies if they do hire and you won't get hired on after 90 days you'll get fired, so why do they charge high rent out here? It's because most of the jobs are outside Moreno Valley that's why the traffic is really bad on the 215 , we have worse traffic than Los Angeles and we have less people here smth, pretty sure if you live in Moreno Valley for the rest of your life you would have to get a new car off the dealership every 4 years for the amount of driving you would have to do just to survive due to the jobs shortage, also the public transportation is the worse!!! Buses take an hour for the next bus to come, and there very slow, not enough buses so people can get to work, RTA is trash let me tell you how bad the buses are, to bike down the street it would take me 20 mins but to catch a bus it would take me 45-50 mins like wtf? To bike long distance to work say from one part of Moreno Valley to the other side but not to far it would take me 45 mins, but by bus it would take me an hour and 45 mins!!! Wow!! Even some places your better off walking to get to your destination, !! Cause you'll get there quicker if it's not far , yet we pay the highest gas taxes for public transportation and the roads yet our public transportation is still crap with the lame frequency of buses comming, and also the freeways are terrible, I dnt see them using our gas taxes to make public transportation or widen the freeways and adding freeways, were just spending more money in gas,and also the min wage rising doesn't help either if no one ever hires smfh ,

| Expensive city with no housing - 1/24/2018
Moreno valley is a great place to live , it definitely is clean and nice and demographics are very mixed , however the cost of living is insane and we have so much traffic because alot of younger and middle aged People work in moreno Valley but commute out of moreno Valley to other areas for cheaper housing , what's sad is this housing crisis problem we have can all be fixed if Moreno valley builds more apartments, condos , and houses , however that's not happening even though our population growth has added 35,000 people in the last 8 years with a good amount of jobs, only 1 apartment has been built near the mall , and a few other houses , and that doesn't satisy the need for housing we have in moreno Valley, it's kind of messed up that there approving all these warehouses all over Moreno valley to be built for jobs yet they can't build any housing and affordable housing for seniors retired people and disabled people and people that have jobs aka worforce housing to meet the housing demand we have here , rents will go down and so will home prices if they build more housing but since no housing is being built People struggle out here bad and alot of people rent rooms with strangers they don't Kno because all the apartments are packed up and rents arent affordable so even if u have the money to get an apartment, chances are you can't get it because there's none available, such a backwards city to build more jobs with no housing to satisfy the needs of workers and pooor people especially

| Moreno valley is corrupt - 2/19/2017
I have lived here for several years and it is a corrupt place to live.
Over 25 years ago it was a decent place and has been getting worse
since it started to have code enforcements that micro-control the residence.
The city is like " Adolph Hitler " communism and they use these codes to extort money from the residence.
Many of these codes is just too controlling and needs to be elimated.
The codes needs to be Re- written in a more professional and
respectful type.
These codes are just for extorting money from the residence to get as much money in fines as they can collect.
It is like a extortion program.

| Moreno Valley Sucks - 9/15/2010
This is the worst place in America to live. I don't mean this in any disrespectful way to the people that were born and raised in Moreno Valley and don't know what's it's like to live anywhere else first and foremost. I'm tired of people wanting to start of their negative rants with a stupid racist remark. As far as I'm concerned, I've had a problem with people of every race I've encountered here in Moreno Valley in one way or another. From horrible teachers, to bad dentist and doctors. A thousand randomn checkpoints a year in which they ask you if you're on probation or if you've just smoked some weed. My house was robbed last year. I lost over $60,000 in goods while my neighbor watched and said nothing until the next day when they saw the police at my house. Their excuse was that they were afraid the robbers would come back and hurt them. (As they were watching from the blinds---Yeah right!!!) Then the police get to my house and kept the car running while they filed the 10 minute report. And it took the officer 2 hours to get there. The excuse was "You didn't call two hours ago"----LOL. My daughter goes to a private school that has been teaching her the same thing for two years but I'm afaid to mover her to public school. If you're considering moving to Moreno Valley because housing prices are good, then consider buying a home and renting it to someone you don't give a damn about. I can't wait to move from Moreno Valley.

| Wrong Stats on Crime in Moreno Valley - 3/30/2010
Moreno Valley has made great improvements since 1996. Gangs were here at one time. Our gangs are few now and graffiti almost at a zero. Our crime is low. Compare to LA and OC we are about the same. Police are awesome here. Graffiti is taken off with 12 hours of asking the City to remove it.
Business is growing. Some people are mad at how fast it is growing. As this was horse area, and now with the growth that is fading.

| Local Politics - 3/20/2009
Moreno Valley is not the best of places and could be one of the worse. We have a local developer, Iddo Benzeevi, who is attempting to buy city council members and dominate local politics. So far, he has spent $350-500,000 to get control of the City and to get the necessary votes to create a warehouse district in the rural portion of the city. The council woman in district 3 has accepted $30,000 from Ridge Trust the next warehouse developer in district 3. Both can be verified on FPPC form 460. If you wish to live in an upscale area, scratch MoVal. I wish I had done so 30 years ago.

| Moving Soon - 5/19/2007
Moreno Valley has been taken over by Mexicans who fly their rag of a flag and refuse to assimilate. You need to be bilingual to live here now. The traffic is atrocious and the police are unforgiving on traffic violations. The radar cops hide throughout the city like vultures.

| Schools - 9/22/2006
I have lived in Moreno Vally for 18 years, and over the course of the years, the schools have become so over crowded it is ridiculous. Moreno Valley's city council is doing a POOR job of allocating enough schools to accomodate the number of new homes being built in this area. My children have 50 or more children in their PE classes, 30 or more in their academic classes, and the teachers are rude, disrespectful, and racists!!!!! If you have children and can afford to live somewhere else other than Moreno Valley, DO IT. This city obviously cares more about revenue (the number of new homes, apartments, & condos to be exact) from taxes then they do about the future leaders of the community/world......think about it. Will your childs education suffer because the schools are so crowded????? YES.
