The description of SPP is wonderful - its on the Mississippi River and has many parks, marinas and wooded lots. But, many Minnesotans have never heard of it or know where it is. It offers a great commute into St. Paul and it is close to the restaurants and shops in near-by Cottage Grove and Woodbury, but what is available in SPP is reminicient of a small, out-of-the-way town (read a few bars, gas stations and a family owned restaurant). Housing is a mix of primarily older stock (60 plus years old) with a dash of new builts in last 5 years, mostly townhomes. It is a refinery, blue collar town with a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds.
