you note that Ladue spends approximately the national average (a little more than $6 thousand) per student per year. If I divide the 2006-2007 (the most recent year for which data is available online) operating expenses of the Ladue School District of $48,173,356 by the total enrollment of 3505, it calculates out to $13,745/student, more than double the national average. is there another calculation i should be using?
