Southern California's Best Kept Secret - 9/8/2019
I've lived in Crestline almost 2 years. This is definitely a well kept secret... beautiful, accessible and still somewhat affordable. I love being in Southern California but still having the 4 seasons. Lots of amenities nearby and of course Lake Arrowhead is just 15 minutes away if you want a "bigger" town for shopping, etc.

As a transplant from L.A. it feels like I moved to a Norman Rockwell painting. A very active chamber of commerce makes sure there are lots of activities and a good sense of community.  Read More

Living in Crestline is like a paradise found to many long term residents who fled the city life, escaping the heavy traffic, noisy environment, crime, and crowds. Here in Crestline, instead of streetlights there are stop signs, where people smile and wave at you. Instead of tall concrete monuments there are beautiful trees. In summer there is a lake with a barrel-ful of activities, from fishing, swimming, sunning and rowing on the water. Just minutes from several recreation areas the mountains provides entertainment for those that yearn for nature. The mild winters are delightful, and most people get used to some shoveling of snow and winter driving conditions, because the rest of the year is quite nice. Climate is about 15 degrees cooler than the valleys. Most of the time the residents can look down onto the valleys below from high vistas where clouds meet the mountainsides, in which is apparently just above the ozone level.
