San Carlos, CA is a lovely city located in the San Francisco Bay Area so it's no surprise that it has a ton of amazing attractions and activities. From its historic downtown area to the vast array of outdoor recreation opportunities, there's something for everyone in this vibrant community. In addition, San Carlos is home to many excellent restaurants, great shopping destinations, and plenty of entertainment venues. It's also becoming increasingly popular among locals and visitors alike due to its close proximity to Silicon Valley and San Francisco.
Reviews of San Carlos are overwhelmingly positive with people praising its beauty and variety of activities. Visitors consistently talk about how friendly the people are and how easy it is to get around town. Many comment on how safe they feel walking around at night as there are plenty of street lights and well-lit areas. In addition, they love how easy it is to find something fun to do in San Carlos whether it be visiting one of the many parks or going out to dine at a wonderful restaurant. I have lived in San Carlos for over 15 years and absolutely love it! There is a great mix of age groups and it is becoming more ethnically diverse. Kids play on my street. There are a variety of activities that make living here fun and reminiscent of small-town America:
-The summer Friday night concerts in the park are lively and very well-attended.
-There is an annual Art & Wine Festival on Laurel, our main street, also well-attended.
-The annual Hometown Days includes a parade, crafts and food booths, live entertainment, and 5K and 10K races.
-There is absolutely no reason to leave town for a lovely dinner out - we have broad dining choices.
-Multiple shops of all kinds from antique to optometrist make the downtown a fun place to browse.
