Great Potential in this small town - 5/1/2007
We moved here a little over a year ago from an expensive town in Fairfield County. Not only are we happier financially but emotionally as well. I love the small-town feel but still having everything we could want close by. We were concerned that we would leave behind what we had in Fairfield County but that is NOT the case. We live in a large house that would have cost us over double in our old town; we live in a safe, attractive family neighborhood. This town has soooo many programs and functions geared around families (most free or for a nominal charge). There are parks, playgrounds, sports galore, a YMCA, fast food restaurants as well as sit down fine dining. There are 3 big name grocery stores, a Wal-Mart, CVS, Rite Aid, Blockbuster, multiple Dunkin Donuts, a large pet store and a charming downtown area with lots of boutiques and antique shops. There are a variety of housing choices from condos to new custom home constructions in communities. There is even a multi-million dollar Read More
