Safe, beautiful, nice neighbors, good restaurants. - 5/2/2024
We love Minneola. We moved here from Colorado 4 years ago during the pandemic. It was more affordable then. Houses were in the mid $300s. Now they are mid $500s or more. We have lovely rolling hills, lots of oaks, palm trees and a large lake in the middle of town. The major road through town is 50mph so you can move fast. We are close enough to Clermont which has all sorts of ethnic foods, Indian, Sushi, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese etc. This area is coveted, we are right off the turnpike and can get to everything in Orlando in 40 minutes or less. Crime is very low. I have left my car unlocked outside overnight many times and never had a problem. No reported break ins in my neighborhood or cars stolen. No murders in this area. However, the one drawback is that drivers are aggressive and TOO many people text and drive. It's very prevalent. Minneola is one of only a few areas in Florida that has rolling hills and land up to and over 300 feet above sea level. The trees are mostly oak and does not reflect the typical Florida look.
