Laid Back Town - 7/16/2010
This town is so laid back that you could walk in reverse and still find nothing to do. Fishing, boating, bike riding on the 12 mile bike path, visinting the service clubs whene you can get a 16oz draft beer for a buck and a hamburger for the same price. I have been here for 20 years after spending the former part of my life in Pittsburgh PA. I would never go back. My wife does not care much for it here. Says there is not enough socical or entertainmnet activity. I guess if one is into opera and ballet this is true. However, there is some enterainment but the price is at least a one way hour drive. When we leave the island, of which St. James City is a part, we try to do everything we can in this one trip. Our mall consists of a Winn Dixie, a CVS, barber shop, whiskey store, Subway and a place to do laundry. We also have a general store on the southern tip of the island. Lots of artists, both performing and visual reside here so we have island fun Come here and walk backwards Read More
