Located in northern Louisiana, Plain Dealing is a small, rural town with a population of just over 1,000 people. Despite its small size, this town has a rich history and is home to some charming local businesses and friendly residents. However, living in Plain Dealing may not be for everyone. To gain a better understanding of what it's like to live in this town, we have gathered feedback from multiple user reviews on BestPlaces.net. 1. "Plain Dealing is a wonderful, peaceful place to live. The people are friendly and there are plenty of local shops and restaurants to support. It's a great place to raise a family." - Sarah T.

2. "I've lived in Plain Dealing my entire life and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The sense of community here is unbeatable and there's always something fun going on, whether it's a local festival or a high school football game." - John R.

3. "While Plain Dealing may have a small-town charm, it lacks diversity and opportunities for young professionals. The job market is limited and the closest city is over an hour away. It can feel isolating at times." - Amanda S.

4. "One thing I love about Plain Dealing is the cost of living. It's affordable and you can get a lot more for your money compared to bigger cities. However, the trade-off is limited options for shopping and entertainment." - Mark D.

These reviews provide a range of perspectives on living in Plain Dealing. While some praise the town's peaceful atmosphere and sense of community, others mention the lack of diversity and limited job opportunities. The affordable cost of living is a common positive aspect, but it may come at the expense of fewer amenities and options. Overall, it seems that living in Plain Dealing is a unique experience that may appeal to those seeking a small-town lifestyle.

I love Plain Dealing - 7/29/2009
You have to know the culture and the people. And if you get lucky to get invited in someone home to eat. Oh what a treat. My parents were born and raised there. I was born in Seattle, but I have southern values. And I cook their way. Wow. My greatgrandmother lived there for 103 years. They have great fishing spots, and their annual dogwood festival. Check it out on website. Yeh its on there. Looking at to some is not much. You have to know where to go. If you decide to visit and have fun, I would advise you to stay in springhill for motels. The drive is about 30 minutes away. Its a place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Fishing is great, bass and brims. You want to really party go to bossier shreveport where the casinos are. Someone said something about a casino near or in Plain Dealing. Rt.3 takes you to Bossier, Shreveport,no casinos in Plain Dealing. That would be great that would create jobs Read More
