Fryeburg is a small community in rural, western Maine on the New Hampshire border. The summers are gorgeous, hovering around 80 most of the time, and the fall foliage is unparalleled. Be prepared for long, freezing winters with tons of snow though, lasting from mid-November 'til mid-April. For any outdoorsman, this area is wonderful, with lakes, forests, hiking and skiing all close by. North Conway, New Hampshire, a large outlet shopping center, is only a 20 minute drive.
