Ionia is booming! South of town towards I-96 many chain stores have popped up in the last 5 or 6 years.(Wal-mart, Lowes, Menards, several banks, .....etc). With this growth I have started to notice the beginings of some large city problems. Ionia now has two areas in town that I would not want to live or raise a family. In my opinion the schools are excellent. If an Ionia graduate fails in life they cannot blame the Ionia Public School system. Ionia is also home to a very nice annual fair. All in all it's a nice place, but keep in mind that it is growing. So if somebody moved here today they may be living in quite a different Ionia in 10 to 12 Read More
