Beautiful place - 10/5/2009
Bryson Citys landscape is beautiful. Lush green with streams and a few waterfalls thrown in. Temperature is mild with summers in the upper 80s and low 90s but humidity is a bit high as this area as it is a temperate rain forest. The people are close knit group who have not gotten over the civil war,so "outsiders" are not welcomed with open arms. Also in the not very long past the people lived in "HOLLERS", and did not venture out very frequently. There fore many are closely related. If you have seen or can remember the movie, Deliverence, this movie is more of a docuementary than fictional. As a matter of fact it was shot in nearby areas, and much is the same today.
