Quiet little town - 8/28/2018
I've lived here 13 years. Quaint, Quiet, no traffic in town most of the time. Easy walking downtown in an Historic Town, with Post Office, Pharmacy, Hardware Store, and miscellaneous small shops. Large City Park. There are several 'cliques' and if you are not in one it gets pretty lonely. The main problem is the City Government. The mayor is over 80, is a terrible gossip and should have stepped down long ago. He owns the only newspaper in town and uses it to post gossip and his ancient opinion. The City Council is ok but they need to get rid of that Mayor to bring the town into a level where it could be a great place to live. Multiple choices for shopping in nearby small cities like Eugene, Corvallis, Lebanon, Albany. Airport in Eugene will get you where you need to go. Lots of pot being grown and smoked locally.
