Stroudsburg School Board & Taxes - 6/19/2010
I have lived in Stroud Township for almost my entire life and have always thoguht that our taxes, although on the higher end for Monroe County, were within reason. In 2008 we had a 12% increase, in 2009 we had a 7% increase and now we are to expect another increase in 2010 even though our student enrollment has dropped substantially. So many homeowners are and have suffered financial losses these past few years and our School Board continues to spend our money on adding new schools and million dollar renovations, but cutting staff and school programs.
