Great Place to raise a family - 7/17/2009
Tinicum township is a small community and a great place to raise your children. We have township sports soccar, baseball,T-ball,softball that are coached by parents who volenteerThis is at no cost to the family, Our Swim Club is beautiful and offers Swim and Diving team trained by alumni.Boy and girl scouting meeting are held in a real looking log cabin. We have a great volenteer fire Co. Our elementry school is part of a blue ribbon district.we have many celebrations parades egghunts 4th of july party and fireworks. this is small town living as close as you can get to a big city. even though we are part of a big school district our town is apart from the other towns in the district that is why we are known as the island. I have lived here all my life, I raised my children hereand am raising my grand neices and nephews here. My one child recently moved back to town and is planning to raise her family here
